Apart from continuing most of the aforementioned Schemes/Activities performed in 2008-09. In the developing scenario of Arunachal Pradesh, OWA has realized the need of such schemes to be implemented in the State. Such Schemes shall enhance in the socio-economic progress and add to the developmental activities carried out by various Government Departments/ Voluntary Organizations of the State. However, some of the schemes mentioned below have already been submitted and awaiting approval from the concerned authority.

1. CARE OF OLDER PERSONS

For care of helpless old people, OWA has initiated to take up schemes for the welfare of the older persons of the State. The target beneficiaries to be enrolled under this scheme will be the ones, without proper care, support and attention. The scheme will benefit 125 older persons.

2. SILK WEAVING INDUSTRY

A project proposal for setting up a Silk Weaving industry has been submitted for onward perusal and approval. The project has been designed to create employment opportunities in the field of handloom and also to meet the export market demands of Silk handloom products.
